Nostril vs. High Nostril: Which Placement Suits You?
Two very different looks, two different healing profiles. Here's how to choose between a standard nostril and a high nostril piercing.
Standard nostril
Set in the natural crease at the side of the nose. Subtle, classic, and forgiving on almost every face shape.
Healing window is 4–6 months. Sensation is a quick 2–3 second pinch, typically rated around 3/10.
High nostril
Set higher on the side of the nose, above the natural crease. More editorial, more visible, and not every anatomy supports it cleanly.
Healing window is 6–9 months. Sensation is slightly sharper, and the longer healing time requires more patience.
How to choose
If you want a single subtle detail that suits almost any styling, choose a standard nostril.
If you want a higher, more architectural look — or you plan to stack a standard nostril plus a high nostril together — book a consultation. We will assess your anatomy before recommending a placement.
